Church of the Infernal has decided that we have gone far enough with our Satanic practices and wishes to continue on with a new path. We aim to become great practioners of the fine old arts of magick. We shall be embracing a new path starting today.

We aim to be a real online church and preach about whatever we choose to preach about. We shall be adding new content and hope it pleases our public.

I know that many people have been put off by our embracing of Satanic principles. We are not abandoning these principles simply because we have offended people. No. We are pleased that we have offended people. Now it is time for us to rise up and embrace the true powers of magick.

We are re-inventing ourselves and we shall be coming out stronger. Everyday I , High Priestess Lydia Workman, shall be adding new content to this site until it culminates into a fresh new branch of magick with which we can all gain power. We are ready to embrace a new approach to magick that has never been tried before. Off we go. To a fresh new start!

In the summer of 2005 some COTI clergy members designed a god-form which we named the 'Baltic Sniper'. We magickally charged some music, vampirically attained energy, and underwent many rites and visualizations in the process of the Baltic Sniper's creation.

This summer a monument shall be erected in honour of the Baltic Sniper. Design plans are being drawn up as to what this monument shall look like. Thus far a base, sculpture, and flower garden are in our plans. The sculpture shall be mixed media using mainly wood and scrap metal. It shall be painted and look an awesome site.

I, Lydia Workman, am thrilled to announce this new project which is officially under way... And, it is my hope that it shall be completed by the first of September of 2008.

Hail the Baltic Sniper!

Ostara approaches. A time to worship Eostre, a Germanic goddess associated with the dawn and spring. A time to fill your home with spring flowers, eggs and hares.

This might sound oddly similar to Easter to you. Easter has it's roots in the holiday Ostara... also known as the Spring Equinox.

I have been making my preparations for the Ostara season and will be posting information on my progress in upcoming posts.

I have been emptying eggs of their innards to prepare for crafts and spells. I have dug up all my emblems of spring time... hare statues and such... and been placing them about my home and on my altar.

The spring Equinox marks the day when day and night are exactly equal. The days shall continue to grow longer until we hit the Summer Solstice. Imagine the days ahead! Days full of sunlight and blooms! Celebrate it! Get out and in touch with nature! Watch the fresh sprigs and signs of nature turn up!

Life is ressurected! We are alive with the spring and so is all vegetation!

This holiday centers around the pastel hues of spring. Incorporate them into your life and magick rituals. Above all, enjoy life. For this is the season when all is reborn and filled with life!

I've just returned home with Mayleigh. We went out to do a fire rite for Imbolc. Imbolc marks the point of time where we are right between the winter and spring equinoxes. Groundhog day and candlemas are a part of this tradition.

It also marks the end of the Yule and Christmas season since it is about 40 days after the representational birth of Christ. So, it's the time to make sure you've got all your Yule stuff out and burnt and such.

I always start my holiday festivities and so on a week or 2 before the actual date due to the fact that they take a lot of time. It's a lot easier for my that way. I can take magick requests over the course of the month and work on them during different stages of the game.

So, I took all the pine boughs off my balcony and the ribbon. Dressed up a little bit. I decided to wear this long red wool coat I bought last year for the very first time. Got all my things gathered up.

Mayleigh and I walked back onto that property owned by some cellular company for their tower. The tower is way, way back in and me and my dog only have gone all the way to it when I was out picking berries or gathering some plants of some sort. About 2 or 3 times over the summer.

The snow was a bit deep. I walked down the road to the part where it opens into a big field. Lit my fire in the center of that gravel road. Cars never travel back there in the winter. They only bring vehicles in there when they have something to do with the tower.

So, I tossed all my pine boughs out of the big yellow garbage bag I carried them back in. I read an Imbolc prayer. I chose to use the following prayer... with a few minor alterations....

On this Imbolc day, as I kindle the flame upon my hearth,
I pray that the flame of Brigid may burn in my soul,
and the souls of all I meet today.

I pray that no envy and malice,
no hatred or fear, may smother the flame.
I pray that indifference and apathy,
contempt and pride,
may not pour like cold water on the flame.

Instead, may the spark of Brigid light the love in my soul,
that it may burn brightly through this season.
And may I warm those that are lonely,
whose hearts are cold and lifeless,
so that all may know the comfort of Brigid's love.

I had the prayer copied out by hand on a piece of white paper in black ink. I took a couple of swigs of my homemade grape wine. Lit a piece of paper and the boughs began to burn.

Mayleigh danced around the fire with great excitement, running in a circle. She bit at the flame as it leapt up. It was a delight to watch the little half Gaelic (half border collie) beast dance in her springlike spirit.

I took a few photographs of the fire. Smoked a cigarette. The fire began to dwindle. I lit up another piece of paper. Let it burn a bit more.

There were still a few bough of pine needles left after we completed our job. I walked around it in a circle tossing snow over much of the charred remains. We left it like that and will let mother nature deal with it as she knows best.

Mayleigh and I walked back home. I collected some dead plants branches to make our Bride's cross with. The branches are all sitting in the bath tub. We'll be soaking them in some water soon enough so we can bend them quite easily.

I have taken out of my freezer the very last package of Yule themed food and put it in the over. Chicken in stuffing. Poured a bit of oil and sauce over it and have left it in the oven to cook.

It is my thrill to commemorate the ingress of Saturn into Virgo by the creation of this brand spanking new site. It was with an unplanned development on the storm front which is my life. I rapidly came up with the idea and plunged straight in. So, here we have it! The new COTI site!

Church of the Infernal is nothing new. We have operated out of various facades through Myspace forums for a couple of years. We have discussed a physical church, magick retreat center, and many other things.

Why another Satanic Church? There simply aren't any in my geographic location. Thus, I have met a demand for a satellite church for those unable to be fostered by an appropriate spiritualist outlet in their region.

We are a fun organization. None of our members pay a membership fee. We don't do this for profit. Money is a rather tedious and boring matter in my mind. My only interest in money is so that we might eventually have our lovely retreat center and sculpture garden.
