Sorcery is at the heart of infernalism. The deification of Satan is born out of the heritage of traditional witchcraft. Myth adds a romantic spark to our spiritual ideals. Satan is a potent figure with a very direct relationship to sorcery. Traditional stories of Satan involve a more sorcery based interest than one of actual worship. True, we hear stories of witches of yore participating in black masses, copulating with Satan, and kissing his anus. But, more often than not, most of the stories of early Satanic magick revolve around making a pact with the Devil or selling your soul. These stories are not stories of actual Devil worship, but merely a sorcerer's request for powers, wealth, or the object of their romantic desires. In fact, many of the stories we hear reflect the pactee's treachery towards our lord Satan. Many of them find a loophole in order to get out of the pact and are assured an entrance to heaven through their repentence.

At Church of the Infernal we loosely follow the history of sorcery in our desire to become gods of this earth. Many of us wish to experience our own personal power through occult based development. Satan is our emblem and muse, as he was for the artists and poets of the Romantic era.  It is of our heart that the true creator of this universe resembles human beings in very few aspects and is therefore not given a personified god/goddess image. We worship Satan as a real entity created as a reflection of aspects of the creator. We worship Satan because he ushers in a new modern age and we are nuts about witchcraft. Satan is a potent force to draw upon and his link to witchcraft has made him our patron deity.

The ultimate goal of infernal sorcery is to manifest self-hood, as this is what Satan desires for us his chosen. In the art of self-mastery or creativity, we are drawn closer to Satan. As Paganini was given his bold talents through the power of Satan, we too can become masters of our fate through both sorcery and genuine worship. To Satan we own our vision and our dreams. We must break away from rigid conformity in order to succeed. So, devote your time to some Devil worship, bold sorcerers, and hail Satan!

It is a new year for us at Church of the Infernal, as it is well with everybody else on our humble planet. We shall manifest our power in this approaching year of the Dragon. The Dragon is the only magical creature in the entire Chinese zodiac. I, Lydia Workman, was born in 1976, which is the year of the fire Dragon. It is much fitting that this Satanic empire I have built shall soar to it's heights in this power year.

Church of the Infernal is a church built on the sincerity of spirit, for truth is of more merit than illusion. Reality can never be built merely out of an illusion because the spiritual realm of ideas is very different from the physical realm. Every painter is familiar with the principle of a painting never coming out exactly how they envisioned it. This is one of the reasons a wise magickian knows to bond with the element of earth and treat it with respect. In the solid world of physicality it is to earth we must attune in order to be able to manipulate it's materials. This is why an earth sign like Taurus is tied highly to beauty and art.

In this message I would like to relay Satan's message of a world of pure truths and a respect for the material. Christians paint Satan as the great deceiver, but the reality of Satan is that the truth can be at times ugly. Satan is a God who reveals his own ugliness, as everything in existence has an ugly side. Respect for the ugly truths and an integration for the improved conditions of man on earth do many of us Satanists fight. Especially us at Church of the Infernal.

The true spirit of mankind can be found in his creative values. Strive to manifest yourself and your dreams and you are the salt of the Satanic empire. Many the coming year of the Dragon lift you high up to your creative heights and reunite your spirit body with Satan's.

Tap into the power of Satan and become a powerful force on the earth. In the image of Satan lays aeons of thought energy. Morph yourself into a Satan. Gaze into the eyes of Satan. Pray to him. Summon him into your life. Ask him to carry you through the wisdom of ages. Gather secret knowledge.

Those who have acknowledged Satan are ready to be exposed to secrets only uttered in the mystery schools. Satan has arisen. Satan leads us into the age of mass communication. A Satanic magickian need not approach magick from the standard Satanic rituals. A Church of the Infernal Satanist knows the only answer is to look outside the box. Apply chaos to thy approach. Learn of the magick of all cultures and your knowledge shall be greatly enriched.

The alchemical proccess of magick leads us to manifesting a spirit golden with spiritual truth. Look not down only roads travelled. Add thy innovative approach to thy magick. You shall be a sage of self-mastery and a credit to witchcraft forever more.

In my temple I plan activities for all of my Satanist friends. On November 25, 2011 we shall have a Satanist Meet Up. This one shall tap into the powers of the new moon. Prior to this new moon, we have a full moon coming up. There is no ritual at my home for this other than a solitary to which no one is invited. Our next full moon is on November 10th, 2011. This should provide you with an opportunity to draw down the ancient energy of a moon.

A full moon is an excellent time to charge ritual tools. Leave your tools on your window sill. Allow them to bathe in the light. You might also use this night as an opportunity to further commit yourself to Satan. Write a creative invocation which shows Satan you really care. You might want to do your writing a day or 2 prior to the full moon. Sit near a window as you write. Leave the curtains open to gaze at the moon. Draw energy from it as you write. If the sky be clouded over, know that behind the clouds lies the moon plummeting into fullness. The night of the full moon is one ripe for the potential of Satan, so do read your invocation at that time.

After the moon becomes full we enter a period known as the waning moon. The waxing moon tends to be more a time of excesses and money doesn't present as many challenges for me personally in that phase of the moon. In the waning moon I am always a little more careful with my spending. For me, the waxing moon is when we liberate ourselves and the waning moon is the time when we show restraint. This is just to keep everything in balance. For, at times we must sit back and appreciate that which has come to us in the waxing times.

Our Toronto Samhain Satanist Meet Up went remarkably well. All met in the rec room in the basement of my apartment building. An invocation to Satan was read by the group as red candles were lit and incense bestowing the quality of power wafted through the air. For the most part it was a casual affair. A BYOB affair. We all drank, though not to the point of being inebriated. One of our illustrious attendees read some Satanic literature for the group to absorb. Afterwards we hit the upstairs television room and watched a couple of black and white horror films. It was indeed a notable night and an evening to remember.

We are in the proccess of scheduling our next meet up. I plan to hold the next one on November the 25th, which shall be the night of the new moon. We shall do a magickal working in order to tap into new potentialities for the future. The power shall be in our hands and we shall use it.

In addition, a new forum called 'Black Magickians Guild' has been created and we shall use this forum not only to discuss ideas surrounding Satanism, but also to be a proactive force bettering the lives of all black magickians. We are willing to take political actions on your behalf for any injustice you have faced as a Satanist. We are going to make the world a better place for both you and me. Samhain, which some consider to be the witch's new year, is almost here. At Church of the Infernal we have one exciting event planned at my home on Saturday October 29th 2011. A small group of Satanists will be meeting in the rec room of my building. Our gatherings have thus far been quite informal with Satanic minds meeting, drinking, and having fun getting to know one another. This Saturday our plans include a reading of Satanic literature, a communal ouija board session, a small ritual, and movies. It promises to be a fun evening for all who attend and those in the Toronto area are welcome to attend. Today I have set the task of preparing ritual incense and oil for our Samhain celebration. The herbs and oils I plan to utilize are set out on my altar and ready to be mixed and ground up. October 26th was Lunar Samhain and a conjunction of 4 planets were located in the sign of Scorpio. This is a powerful time to plant the seeds for the future and make all your desires known to Satan. The power of the new moon is still strong for a few days prior to and after the actual date of the new moon. You might want to make a list of changes you would wish to manifest on your life. Grant your wishes power by folding the paper and passing it through the smoke of some ritual incense. Afterwards you might place the folded paper beneath a candle in a colour suitable for the nature of your requests.

Here in Toronto the season is cooling down. I haven't yet brought in my air conditioner, but that will be happening soon. In this climate Samhain is the final harvest festival of the year. In agrarian society it was the time for the harvest of meat. Animals were rounded off and those which were thought unable to make it through the winter were slaughtered and eaten in a feast. The remaining meat was then preserved through smoking, curing, or drying and saved for nourishment during the coming months. You too might wish to harvest the accomplishments of your life throughout the past year and take store of all you have to be grateful for. It is always nice to thank Satan for the gifts he bestows upon his wunderkind. If able you might even wish to slaughter a chicken in Satan's name and cook it up on the barbeque. Hail Satan!

In about 2 weeks Halloween, or Samhain, will be here. Joy, what a wonderous day for us witches! The world is filled with occult splendor for one day as people dress in costumes of ghosts, witches and vampires! This is an appropriate holiday to honour the dead. It is one of the many solar holidays. The sun continues into it's winterward voyage away from the earth. In our hearts we prepare for the coldness that lies ahead.

And, in my room today I have felt the first cold drafts which tell me that soon I must take my air conditioner in from the window. It is a time for many winter preparedness rites. But, it is also a time of high magick. I intend to make this the most witcherly powerful Samhain I have ever had. That is why I have started doing my research.

With 2 weeks to go until Samhain I am now preparing my ritual incense and oils. I have gone through my cupboards and determined the herbs which are suitable for this endeavor. Herbs appropriate for Samhain include rosemary, rue, sage, wormwood, tarragon, bay leaf, pine, oak leaves, patchouli, and frankincense. These are the herbs I am going to be using in my magickal workings over the next little while and I do hope to adequately document them for you.

I have cleared my magick altar and am ready to set about work. I have lots of great ideas of ways to ease myself into spiritual development through ritual over the next couple weeks. To unlock the full powers of the universe, just follow me in the coming weeks.

Some of you may wish to follow along with me and conduct similar rites as I conduct. I'm going to be tapping into it all. Expect big magick here on earth coming from my quarters. I intend to do spells to improve memory, honour the dead, get in touch with different aspects of deity, love, protection, and all else. Come with me and tap into portholes of worlds unknown. We shall unlock ancient occult secrets in a timely fashion and shall be able to greatly impress novices with our acute skills and abilities.

So, you should all try to get caught up with me and make sure you have a few items to work with. A mortar and pestle would certainly do you all good. Some choose to use an athame, but I tend to use a letter opener due to my fear of having sharp objects laying about my living space. We shall all voyage to attain a suitable magickal space for our Samhain ritual.

My altar is located on the top of my fridge. I use a slab of marble which was designed for snorting cocaine off of, but I use it for magickal purposes instead. I like my altar because it puts into power the Satanist principle of 'making bad things good', for it is truly bad to snort cocaine and I've heard it can burn holes in your nose if you do enough of it. Not all of you must have a marble altar of course. You can just as easily use the top of a bureau or table. Whatever works best in your living arrangement.

As a back drop to my altar I have placed a Ouija board. A ouija board is a tool which enables us to talk to the dead. Samhain is the sort of holiday appropriate for chatting up some dead folk, so I thought it an appropriate inclusion on my altar. I've got my wooden skull, though that is generally in my altar area at any time of the year and not just Samhain. You too might want to put some death and divination related objects on your altar. You might also wish to include a photograph of a dead family member you miss or a celebrity you admire who has bit the dust. The dead also like apples and you might wish to leave one on your altar for them.

I do hope all of you shall get to work and start setting up your little Samhain altar. You might want to go to a dollar store and pick up some Halloween decorations as well. In this culture where things are mass-produced for cheap in a competitive environment the amount of things you can get is remarkable. You do not need to break the bank in order to get your home looking like a haven for the dear, dead, and departed.

And, Samhain is a great time to get an honest to goodness haunting happening in your home. Only cowards don't want to scare up a few ghosts for Samhain. If you don't have any ghosts which currently haunt your home all you have to do is go to a graveyard and invite a few of them back. All you have to do is pick a grave you like, light a white candle, leave an offering of roses, and lie down above where the dead person is buried. Write up an incantation and let the ghost know you would like a visit. Most ghosts will leap at this opportunity to exit the underworld and have an honest to goodness visitation with a witch. Ghosts love witches and that's why you always see both of them so commonly represented in Halloween costumes.

To get the ghost to come and visit you let he or she know you wish to hear their special message from beyond the grave. The proper hour to do this sort of thing is at the stroke of midnight. While laying down on the grave shout out the name of the deceased on the tombstone loud enough for them to hear you in the underworld. Welcome the spirit into this realm. Be sure to expect a visit from some dead person later in the night. If you are afraid that the spirit is malicious, I'd say you are a coward and not looking at how wonderful it is to just summon up ghosts in order to be a master of sorcery. But, you can always keep a little mixture of sea salt and rosemary in a jar to sprinkle at the ghost if he or she gets out of hand.  

Banishing magick is a great thing to do whenever you feel like bad luck is blocking your way. The Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram is one ceremonial rite which can be performed. However, it is often easier and more meaning ful to create your own rite. Banishing magick is great for getting rid of anything, though is not the same as destruction magick. You are simply making things go away with a banishing rite rather than putting an end to them completely.

Banishing rituals are well suited for the energies surrounding the planet Saturn. In astrology Saturn is the planet of limitations and restricts. As you wish to restrict a flow into your life these are perfect energies to work with. For my personal banishing magick I have purchased a banishing oil and incense from an occult shop. You may do the same or you may wish to create your own. The oil is used to rub onto a large black pillar candle. As I rub the oil onto the candle I charge it full of magickal energies. The incense is comprised of loose herbs and is burnt on a charcoal.

Saturday, aka Saturn's day, is an appropriate day to do your magickal working. I chose to write all out that I wished to banish from my life on a sheet of parchment. I folded this up and passed the spell through the smoke of the smouldering incense Then I placed the folded up paper beneath the candle as I let it burn.

Have fun with your own banishing spell. You might wish to include a chant, but it is perfectly acceptable to not include one.

Sometimes it's hard for a person to figure out the sort of meaning Satan wants for our lives. This is why we have 100s of different forms of divination from Oomancy to viewing the entrails of slaughtered animals. A good way to get started is to go get a free astrological chart done at www.astro.com. This site is absolutely fabulous and I consult it daily for a quick peak at where the planets aren't moving. So, as a Satanist never feel that your life lacks meaning. Besides, there are also great carnal pursuits to indulge in which very often need no meaning whatsoever.

But, do get a free natal chart done, and if you know where and at what hour you are born you can put your entire life in perspective. But, for me these sorts of charts only tap into what we secretly know. Inside us we are full of unconscious knowledge which is full of great power and must be tapped into. That is part of what life is about. And, many of you may already have found your special meaning in being a magickian. Satan knows that hopping over a besom or directing power with a ritual dagger is rift with rewards and gratification. Sometimes just calling yourself a witch is rewarding and often entertaining when you try to explain it to the Jehovah Witnesses or missionaries of the LDS.

What constitutes as meaning is a good philosophical question in itself? I think meaning in life comes from having discovered your true will. Some of us are lucky enough to have near death experiences in childhood and go to heaven and meet the spirit of all knowing and be sent back to earth with much enhanced wisdom. Most of us are not all that lucky. We go through bogus haircuts, regretable taste in clothes, and personality quizzes in women's magazines to try to find out a bit and express that little something called self.

If you don't already know your true will, get help. You don't want to be like the person of your worst nightmares. Do not fall into the path of false selfhood and become the shadow of your true self. You want to get about and figure out who you are, what you are really good at, and master the realm of personal awareness. Meditation is a great starting point. For as you sit in silence you may just hear the whisper of the devil or a demon or even a disembodied spirit. From these whispers you just may learn some great truths. It's not always that hard to just sit around and do nothing for an hour and a lot of forms of meditation are like that.

Meaning often lies in the realm of mystery. That is why we must occassionally dive into the oceans of our dreams and subconscious. Forget your left brain if you wish to discover your true will. The path to Satan is through your right brain. Your creative mind shall bring you into the fold of kinship that many of us feel with the devil. Take it from me, you are not going to find meaning if you continue thinking inside the box. So shut up, tune out, fade away, and listen to that faint murmur and there you shall find just a shred of your will and it shall guide you to things like picking up a new hobby, taking an interest in books, or finding the true center of your magickal heart.

In the name of Satan we arise, my friends. Today is the day I decide to start posting here at my COTI blog on a daily basis. My Satanist friends deserve as much attention as I can give them. This blog shall be a great porthole to recanting my secrets on magick and cheering all of you up.

I am at work for all of you. Yesterday was spent doing some research for the guidebook I am creating for you, my loyal followers. It shall be a great tool, both profound and practicial. It is going to take a lot of time and I am afriad it may take more than a year to complete. Nonetheless, it shall all eventually be available for you.

Some of you coming across this blog may not be too familiar with me and my church. My name is Lydia Workman and I have been a self proclaimed Satanic High Priestess for about 7 years. I can't remember the exact date I got started, but I know I was about 28 years old at the time. After practicing channelling/public speaking in the mirror I began to see myself as a Satanic preacher. I knew that the ideas and messages I was relaying for the inhabitants  of this earth were Satanic. The Jews, Muslims and Christians shit their pants over the kind of message I have for this earth. But, do not be impatient because the message I want to teach you is already inside yourself and takes a bit of time and practice to reveal.

Reading Anton LaVey's Satanic Bible was also a guiding point for me, but not the beginning. Let me tell you that I was born devil spawn and have been called a little devil my entire life. It is no surprise that I morphed into who I am today. I have swam the oceans of hidden and forbidden knowledge. Many of you too may have had experiences which brought you here today. Satan grabbed your ass and got your attention and now you know you've got a reason for living. Living is easy when you have got Satan in your life.

I know that many people have been put off by our embracing of Satanic principles. We are not abandoning these principles simply because we have offended people. No. We are pleased that we have offended people. Now it is time for us to rise up and embrace the true powers of magick.

We are re-inventing ourselves and we shall be coming out stronger. Everyday I , High Priestess Lydia Workman, shall be adding new content to this site until it culminates into a fresh new branch of magick with which we can all gain power.
